Emergency cover in Columbia, explained
2 practices in Columbia offer emergency services, and one posts 24-hour hours. Phone before you set off in every case. Hospitals divert when their ICU is full, overnight staffing changes, and posted hours are the first thing to go stale in any directory — including this one.
Before you drive: what "emergency", "24-hour" and "out-of-hours" actually mean, the symptom triage list, and what happens when you arrive.

General-practice vets often take same-day urgent appointments during business hours, and most can refer you to an after-hours ER.
Suspected poisoning: ASPCA Animal Poison Control (888) 426-4435 (24/7, consultation fee applies). Call on the way in — they can start treatment advice before you arrive.
