What's in this directory
14,703 veterinary clinics across six countries, of which 1,158 advertise emergency services and 837 post 24-hour hours. We hold phone numbers for 14,019 of them. Where we don't have a number yet, the listing shows an address only — a missing field is better than a wrong one when someone is dialling in a panic.
Browsing versus searching
The country and city pages here are for browsing — useful when you're planning, registering a new pet, or looking at an area you're moving to. If something is wrong right now, use the distance search instead. It ranks by how far a clinic actually is from you with estimated drive times, which matters because city boundaries are a poor guide to travel time: a clinic fifteen minutes away in the next town beats one on the far side of your own city.
Choosing a regular vet
A few things are worth checking that a directory can't tell you. Whether they're accepting new patients — many aren't. Whether they treat your species, since exotics, birds and reptiles need specific training most general practices don't have. And, most overlooked: who covers their patients overnight. Ask that during a routine visit and you'll have the answer long before the night you need it.
How listings are ordered
By objective facts only: 24-hour status first, then emergency services, then alphabetically. No clinic pays to be listed or to rank higher, and we don't rate clinics by quality because we have no honest way to measure it. Listings come from public sources plus our own research, and every clinic page carries the date it was last checked. More on how we build this.
